What region does the charity serve?
We serve the entire Niagara region, which consists of 12 cities and townships.
Feeding Niagara for Christmas Inc. is a community initiative dedicated to providing Christmas meals to families in Niagara who are unable to afford a holiday dinner. Each year, many local families face the difficult reality of celebrating Christmas without the comfort of a warm meal. Our goal is to change that by packaging and delivering festive meal kits, ensuring every family can enjoy the joy and togetherness that comes with sharing a Christmas dinner.
We serve the entire Niagara region, which consists of 12 cities and townships.
We have been doing this since 2018. It started very small and has grown exponentially.
The charity includes myself, my husband, as well as several family members and friends.
About 8 years ago, while having dinner with my husband, we found ourselves talking about the upcoming Christmas season. We reflected on how fortunate we were to have family to celebrate with, knowing that many people are not as lucky — some are without family, and others may struggle to afford the food needed for a holiday dinner. We also thought about the challenges we faced in our younger years.
That conversation led to an idea: why not use social media to connect with others and provide Christmas dinner kits to families in need?

There is a crazy amount of need in the Niagara Region and a lot of people go without. Nobody should have to go without on Christmas. Family is the most important thing and everyone should have the opportunity to be able to have a Christmas meal with family or friends, should they have no family.
It means the world. I have had people hug me, cry in happiness, give cards to show their appreciation for what we are able to do for them with this. Last year, I had a larger family that we provided food for send me a video of their family thanking us for what we did for them. I have people messaging throughout the year just checking in with me.
What started out as something small where we donated dinners to 3 families, has grown to over 100 families. When we started out, it was my husband and I that personally picked up the food for the meals. In 2023, there was an outpouring of people reaching out and in need so we began to ask for donations. 2024 was a record year for people asking for assistance and 2025 was the biggest yet.
